What is Tarot?

Tarot originated in the mid 15th century, in Italy, as a pack of playing cards. The pack spread throughout Europe evolving into various games. In the late 18th century, French occultists made elaborate, but vastly unsubstantiated, claims about the cards history and meanings, leading to the emergence of custom decks used for divination via tarot card readings and cartomancy. Will this be a fully functional tarot Deck?

Yes! The project has a goal to create a full (minor + major arcana) deck along with an explanatory booklet that any tarot enthusiast can use regardless of their level of proficiency.

Is this project affiliated with Dreamworks?

No. This is a purely fan driven and fan made project. We have NO affiliation with Dreamworks and/or Netflix, World Event Productions, or any other fan project. The VLD Trans-Reality Tarot Deck is a stand-alone project.

Is this a zine project?

Nope! ...Well, not really. We are operating similarly to a zine project in process. We aim to have bundles and potentially different merch options. This will be a one time pre-order based run, with leftover sales.
The booklet for our deck will have storytelling elements to it, hence why we have writers on our team.However, our main product is a bespoke Tarot Deck with an accompanying explanatory booklet. We will not have fics, comics or art (spot or page) as a traditional zine might have.

How many contributors will you be accepting?

None, as this is an invite only project. Our team has been selected based on talent, availability, and work ethic. We can’t wait for you to know more about everyone involved! Follow our socials for announcements!(Or go to the bottom of this webpage if everyone's already been announced.)
